Liz was an overweight child, and at the age of 17 lost her mother to obesity. Her mother was 50 years old. Liz realized that exercise and healthy eating were critical and lost 93 pounds before she turned 18. Surviving a violent first marriage, Liz left with her three children and endured homelessness and years of struggle before becoming successful in her professional career in Christian TV and Radio. She loved her career, but always had a love of health and fitness. She left her career after 15 years to start Fit for Christ Sisters, where she serves women in their health, body, mind and spirit. She addresses not only the issues of nutrition and exercise, but mindset and emotional issues. She is married to the love of her life, Jim, and has six children, Jimmi, Mica, Ian, Chris, Nigel and Olivia, and two grandchildren, Zara and Lydia. She also is the dogmom of Hummer, a cuddly Beagle Hound mix. Liz speaks to women's groups, ministries, churches and corporations on the importance of mindset for physical and spiritual transformation.
