Happy NEW Year my friend! 📣📣📣
Sipping my green tea in the kitchen, I’m pausing to reflect on how last year began—a whirlwind of emotions and uncertainty with a project passion on my heart.
Seven years ago, I sat in this same room when God stirred my heart with a clear call: “Share your story—the valleys and the victories I’ve carried you through.”
My first reaction? “God, seriously? You’ve got the wrong person—I’m already overwhelmed! Already BUSY. How am I supposed to add that to my plate?”
When God places a calling on your heart, it can feel both exhilarating and overwhelming—especially when your schedule already feels maxed out. You might wonder, "How am I supposed to do THAT, Lord?" The truth is, when God calls us, He also equips us. In the midst of our busyness, He provides the grace, wisdom, and strength to fulfill His purposes. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." I've learned finding time to answer God's call isn't about doing more; it's about seeking Him first and letting Him align your priorities with His will.
Start by carving out intentional time with God each day, even if it’s just a few quiet moments. These sacred pauses allow Him to reveal what truly matters and what can wait. Jesus Himself modeled this for us. Despite His demanding ministry, He regularly withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16). As you pray and listen, God will guide you to simplify your schedule, delegate tasks, or release activities that no longer serve His plan for your life. By surrendering your time to Him, you'll find that what once seemed impossible becomes manageable. Remember, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
God never intended for you to carry His call alone. Seek support from your community [your cheer leaders]—family, friends, or like-minded women—and let them share in your journey. As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up."
With God’s guidance and applying these keys, I’m excited to say both projects from last year are done! 🙏🏼🥰🙏🏼
