The Call is STILL the same today…God is calling His people OUT of the corners to SHINE in His marvelous Light. 
Why? He redeemed you dear One, He calls you by His Name…He formed you ( yes our lumps, bumps and rumps) for HIS GLORY!
I almost failed to miss this LIBERATING truth and walking into the call of God for my life when I allow the circumstance(s) of my past, moments of poor choices, failures on the path of life and inappropriate responses to hold me mentally and emotionally hold me HOSTAGE …hold me BACK from where God plans to take my life.
Some of the landmines I had to walk through (with the help of God) included procrastination, managing time with various life responsibilities and the most oppressive one of lack of confidence in how God made me in comparison of WHAT HE WAS CALLING ME TO DO!
Procrastination causes us to “put things off” until the last minute---studies from the America Psychological Association say it’s rooted in fear!
The time management trap made me feel I was entangled in a spider web with no way out! Attempting to juggle the balls of family, work, church, community responsibilities AND missing my main priority of time with God. He is the only One who can show us how to WISELY use the time [the same 168 hours/ week] He has entrusted to each of us.
The dreaded “lack of confidence” and at times it shows itself as “false humility” also attempted to hold me back with words such as “Did God really say that to you????” “Who is going to help you?” “It’s too hard!” “You don’t have the finances or know how for that…” “Your temper or ways won’t work for that to happen…” and MORE! Yes---it WILL come to you in the form of “You are TOO this or TOO that…” Fill in the blank but the words are the same…an attempt to HOLD YOU BACK!

The grace of God walked me THROUGH cancer scares, near fatal car accidents, learning to walk again, having my head shaved from the car accident, loss of finances, corporate racism/sexism, marriage betrayal which led to an unwanted divorce...and saved me from two suicide attempts! BUT GOD!
