Will Your Love Pass The Test? Genuine or CZ?
When you think of love, what comes to mind?
A man and woman holding hands.
The comfort of a mother’s embrace.
A father’s advice.
The listening ear of a good friend.
Although these expressions of love are beautiful, there is another love that is so pure and exquisite that it surpasses even these!
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
God’s love INITIATES. He took the first step towards us to show love and as a result, we learned to love through Him.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
God DEMONSTRATED His love for us by giving His only son as a sacrifice for our salvation.
“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
God’s love gives ONLY THE BEST, even when we don’t deserve it!
God’s love vs. our expressions of love is like comparing a diamond with cubic zirconia. They both look lovely at first glance. They both make great gifts to the right recipient. But as you observe more closely, you see there is a significant difference between the two. The diamond is the most durable, of higher value, and displays light at a level of brilliance that is unmatched!
God’s love was first, is pure, enduring, and is the highest form of love we could ever experience. See the difference yet?
A man and woman could get bored of holding hands. They could even one day part ways. God says that He will never change and has promised to be with us until the end of the age.
A mother may grow weary and unable to provide comfort but God says that He comforts us in all our troubles.
A father can err in his advice but knowledge and understanding always come from the mouth of God.
Friends sometimes get tired of listening, where God says to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us!
What’s even more special is that this pure, enduring love costs less than the price of a diamond – and even cubic zirconia. Can you believe it? It’s free! I can’t think of a better price tag than that! You are loved…so believe it…and receive it!
