My choices today support my goals for tomorrow.
Each day is a reminder that I am one step closer to my goals. Keeping that in mind helps me to stay on track with the choices I make. I am responsible and mature enough to make strategic life decisions.
The focus that goal achievement requires rarely daunts me. When I think of my future success, I get excited about the prospect of getting there. I commit to what is important.
It is easy to avoid over indulgence when I know I have financial goals. I remind myself that taking care of the important things now is paramount. I am saving indulgence until I am able to celebrate achieving my objectives.
The relationships I form today determine the kind of future support structure I have at my disposal. I am careful with my choice of friends. I want them around for a long time.
When I am at a crossroads, I avoid making a choice based on my emotion of the moment. I realize how easy it is to be reactive when choosing by feelings. Instead, my choices are well contemplated.
Setting goals sometimes means sacrificing my comfort for the end result. I am content with tough decisions that yield an ideal outcome.
Today, I am happy to be a sound decision-maker. My commitment to thinking things through with a focus on my goals is unwavering.
Let me share a lifestyle tip that faithfully guides me each year--- it’s my 3 step secret “sauce”.😊
Step 1, I choose to believe that GOD LOVES ME!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NASB
Say, it out loud and insert YOUR name.
Step 2, from that position of recognition and acceptance…I then ask “Michele, which of the options before you will please God in the long run?”
Now, CANDIDLY ask yourself, in the long run which choice path will please God?
Step 3, I then look for PEACE. If the option I'm selecting from the various options brings me peace, that’s the direction I choose to follow.
“Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].” Colossians 3:15 AMPC
Other translations say---"let peace be the UMPIRE" making the final call for you.
Yes, some days it feels the “decision balls” are thrown fast and furious! :>)
Yet, when I apply my “secret sauce”…the umpire of PEACE always has the final say!
Note...Peace does not mean the absence of chaotic circumstances. It means you accept God IS with you IN the midst of the whirling ideas and He's promised to navigate you safely to the goal line!
I welcome you to reflect on the below questions as you launch into a new month.
Self-Reflection Questions:
I encourage you to prayerfully address each one while knowing God wants to help guide you.
Yes, you may feel small and ill equipped for what is stirring in your heart, yet I assure you there's a "holy roar" on the inside whose waiting on you to break forth.
Here’s to improving your choice making process... today!
Listen for the Umpire of...PEACE!
Blessings,
